I have completed production of the video I promised on the anniversary of our ‘All Hands Reunion’ last June in the beautiful northwest.

Watch the ships arrive in downtown Portland alongside the Governor Tom McCall Waterfront Park. Spend some time at the park to enjoy the carnival like atmosphere and activities. Light rail and trolley transportation are near our DoubleTree Hotel. Dinner on your own or with shipmates and friends.

. In the morning, tour the USS BLUEBACK (SS-581), the last non-nuclear powered submarine in the US Navy and the last diesel boat to be decommissioned, and visit the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI). In the afternoon go to the wonderful Oregon Zoo, riding the light rail to get there, and/or visit the International Rose Test Garden. Stay downtown for our Friday evening ALL HANDS reception at the Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery at 206 SW Morrison Street, a block away from the Governor Tom McCall Waterfront Park, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres/snacks provided and a cash bar. Follow up our reception with dinner on you own or with shipmates and friends at the Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery or one of the other fine and fun downtown restaurants.

Enjoy all that Portland has to offer, see all the roses, the ships, the zoo the downtown the pubs and restaurants for lunch, enjoy our hotel’s excellent pool, but be back by 4:30 p.m. for our short business meeting in our DoubleTree Hotel Hospitality Room. At 5:30 p.m. we will enjoy a social time with a cash bar followed by our banquet.

Financial Help
The USS Lynde McCormick Reunion Association is now an official non profit organization with bylaws. It consists of a board of 5 elected representatives and the former crewmates of the USS Lynde McCormick DDG 8. The USS Lynde McCormick Reunion Association was voted into existence on September 17, 2004 by the shipmates in attendance at the 2004 reunion in San Diego. (see bylaws page)
We need financial help by donations from you, our shipmates.
The reunion association plans and implements the reunions and supports this web site. The association costs consist of postage, office supplies, banking, etc. This is a non profit organization and no one gets a salary or benefits. (no free rooms, etc.) Any of you who wish to get that wonderful feeling of satisfaction by donating $10, $20, or more, to the support of this reunion association and this web site, now have the opportunity to pay online with a credit card
